Eisenke Personality Questionnaire EPQ Free Online Test | 88 Questions Full Version

The Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) was compiled by British psychology professor Eysenck and his wife. It was developed based on the ‘Eysenck Personality Questionnaire’ (EH). It began to be formulated in the late 1940s, first published in 1952, and officially named in 1975. There are two formats: Adult questionnaire and Children questionnaire. EPQ consists of four scales: P, E, N, and L, which mainly investigates three dimensions: internal and external (E), neurotic (N), and mental quality (P). Eisenke believes that personality can be analyzed in three dimensions, among which E-dimensional factors are closely related to the intensity of excitation and inhibition of the central nervous system, and N-dimensional factors are closely related to the instability of the botanical nerves. The EPQ questionnaire consists of four subscales: the internal and external tendency scale (E), the emotional scale (N), the psychopathic scale (P, also known as the mental quality), and the validity scale (L). There are normal models for men and women. The scores of the P, E, and N scales decrease with age, while L increases. Mental patients have high P and N scores, and extremely high L scores, which have good reliability and validity. The revised version in China is still divided into children and adults, but the number of items has changed from 97 and 107 in the original version to 88 and 88 items respectively. Compared with other personality questionnaires compiled by factor analysis, it involves fewer concepts, is easy to apply, has good reliability and validity, and is one of the most influential psychological scales in the world. Hans J. Eysenck: Eysenck (1916-1997), a British psychologist, mainly engaged in research on personality, intelligence, behavioral genetics and behavioral theory. He advocated viewing psychology from the perspective of natural science and viewing humans as biological and social organisms. In the study of personality issues, Eisenke used factor analysis method to propose the theory of three-dimensional characteristics of neuroticism, introversion-extroversion and mental quality. Eysenck believes that genetic factors have an effect on the tendency of all three dimensions. Normal people also have neurotic and mental qualities, which can be commonly referred to as emotional stability and stubbornness, rather than alluding to neurosis and mental illness. However, the activity of the advanced nerve may also develop pathologically if it is affected by adverse factors. The L-scale tests the subjects’ ‘masking’ tendency, and also measures the subjects’ social childishness. This test is an adult version of EPQ and is suitable for adults over the age of 16. To sum up, this test evaluates a person’s personality tendency from three dimensions: internal/extroversion, emotionality, and spiritual quality, thereby evaluating a person’s personality factors such as introversion, self-control, and environmental adaptability. Eisenke’s three personality dimensions have not only been analyzed by many mathematical statistics and behavioral observations, but have also been investigated and confirmed by a variety of psychological experiments in the laboratory. They are widely used in medicine, justice, education and other fields, and are suitable for people of junior high school and above. There are 88 questions on this questionnaire.
