‘Smiling depression’ is a type of depression, a new type of depression tendency that often occurs in urban white-collar workers or service industries. Due to ‘work needs’, ‘face needs’, ’etiquette needs’, ‘dignity and responsibility needs’, they smile most of the day. This ‘smile’ is not a true feeling from the bottom of their hearts, but a burden that becomes emotional depression over time. ‘Habitual smile expressions’ cannot eliminate the pressure, troubles and sorrow brought by work, life and other aspects, but only allows them to accumulate depression and pain deeper and deeper. Although the patient with ‘smile depression’ feels extremely painful, depressed, sad and sad in his heart, his external manifestations are as if nothing happened. The ‘smile’ with a ‘smile’ is not a true feeling from the bottom of his heart, but a result of ‘work needs’, ‘face needs’, ’ethics needs’, ‘dignity and responsibility needs’, and ‘personal future needs’. There is currently a saying in medicine that ‘smile depression’. Patients often deliberately conceal their emotions and force themselves to smile in order to maintain their beautiful image in the eyes of others. When the pressure is too high to bear, their reaction is also huge. Emotional disorders may change from an extremely confident person to a very inferior person, and even doubt their abilities in all aspects. ‘Smiling depression’ often occurs among those successful people with high status, high knowledge and successful careers. There are more men than women. They are either senior officials in the agency, bosses in enterprises, or technical personnel in higher vocational schools. These people give people the impression in society that they are all-powerful, and they are very powerful, and their abilities seem unquestionable. However, the fact is that these people, like ordinary people, also have confusion, distress, helplessness, and sadness. However, in order to protect their ‘capable people’ and ‘strong people’ ‘face’, they are unwilling to talk to others about these negative emotions, and they constantly accumulate pain, depression, sorrow and sorrow in their hearts. Therefore, most of these people are bound by the concept of ‘face’, and play a strong and strong role on the surface, and are forced to bear the pressure. Smiling depression can include the following aspects: 1. Looks happy on the surface: Smiling depression usually deliberately shows a positive, happy appearance, even if they feel frustrated and painful inside. 2. Cover up the true feelings: They tend to hide their negative emotions, are unwilling to share their inner pain and distress with others, and may choose to remain silent or avoid talking about their emotions. 3. Highly self-demanding and perfectionism: Smiling depressed people often have high expectations for themselves and pursue perfection and success. They may pay too much attention to their appearance and performance to cover up their inner uneasiness and self-doubt. 4. Good social skills and interpersonal relationships: They are usually good at interacting with people and show positive, friendly and sociable characteristics. They may be the central figures of social activities, but this does not mean that they do not have depression in their hearts. 5. Hide symptoms and true feelings: People with smiling depression may not proactively disclose their symptoms and emotional distress to others, and they may feel frustrated, depressed, anxious or helpless when they are alone. 6. Stress and fatigue: Although they appear energetic on the outside, people with smiling depression may experience symptoms such as sleep problems, fatigue, inattention and physical discomfort. These manifestations are not necessarily applicable to everyone with a smile-like depression, and everyone’s experience and expression may vary. However, if you think you or others may be experiencing a smile-type depression, it is important to seek professional help and support in order to get the proper diagnosis and treatment.
