Talent has a huge impact on a person’s life. Generally speaking, talent includes general abilities, such as talents in music, mathematics, or sports. Converting talents into skills requires training and learning. You have musical talent, and you have a relatively accurate sense of the melody, rhythm, etc. of music, but you cannot become a pianist or conductor with just these, and you must also undergo specialized skills training. Of course, it is much easier for someone with musical talent to become a musician than for someone without musical talent.
Talent is truly unique to some people. It is difficult for a person who is born blind to develop abilities in many aspects, including painting; and when other conditions are roughly equal, a relatively tall person is much more advantageous in sports such as basketball and volleyball. But in our society, most people have only ordinary talents (ordinary intelligence and physical fitness). They may farm in the countryside, work in factories, be police officers, barbers, salespersons, or shop owners. Some people in these professions are talented, which means they are not given the opportunity to work in more sophisticated and specialized departments, or their potential is not fully developed. Maybe, you are one of them! Even though you are extremely ordinary now, as long as you don’t underestimate your potential, you can learn how to use your talents.
Affirming your own potential is the beginning of making full use of yourself. This will allow you to use your talents more effectively.
Wherever your talent lies, you should develop your skills in that area. Maybe your talent is better than you think. As long as you have it, you should make full use of it.
